Brief Given

Novartis Consumer Health creates, develops and manufactures a wide range of products designed to restore, maintain or improve the health and well-being of its’ customers.

Novartis required the design and development of a custom workflow application that would serve also as a document repository and dashboard reporting system to manage the process of developing, testing and launching new health care products.

Given the nature of the pharmaceutical industry and the need to conform to rigorous statutory health regulations, Novartis required that the system manage not only the workflow, but also various points of authorization to ensure the development process met specific compliance requirements.

Strategy Developed

KDG worked with Novartis to design and develop a custom workflow, document repository and dashboard reporting system called Converge. The customized application allowed for Novartis to create unique project plans with ‘stop gates’ that would require certain approvals be met at stages throughout the process.

Result Achieved

Novartis are now able to manage multiple projects and provide key stakeholders with status reporting in a timely manner. Novartis can also ensure compliance with statutory requirements is met in each and every project.
